About Savon's Academy Stars (SAS)
Savon's Academy Stars, A Travel Basketball Association (SAS) was formed as a Non Profit organization in 2009. (SAS) is located out of Royal Palm Beach, and is a program created to help our athlete play the game using the fundamentals and to develope on and off the court.
Our (SA) Savon's Academy, Training program at the Royal Palm Beach Recreation Center every Thursday Nights 6-8pm was created to develope beginners, intermediates, and advance players. (SAS) serves as a way to get better and hopefully be part of our (SAS) Travel Team. The association is operated and governed by elected volunteer Board of Directors.
Savon's Academy Stars reaches out to the community in all our fundraiser. We've had Kriyss Grant The very first dancer choosen by Michael Jackson for his "This is it tour" We've had Alonzo Gee of the Cleveland Cavaliers. From the 2006 Movie Glory Road. Mr. Willie Worsely my former High School Coach from the 1966 Texas Western Miners, who beat Pat Riley's Kentucky Wildcats has helped our programs success. The Movie Glory Road was made in effort to bring light to the first five black Players to start a game in NCAA History. Our Charity games are free to attend. Our funds are raised through the generosity of sponsors in the community. Our largest fundraising event is our Coaches Charity game.
